Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department of Technology (DoT), on behalf of Columbus Water and Power and the Information Services Division, to enter into a contract with Schneider Electric Smart Grid Solutions LLC for ArcFM, Responder, and Wavepoint software maintenance and support for existing software systems.
Columbus Water and Power currently uses ArcFM, Responder, and Wavepoint specialized software solutions by Schneider Electric Smart Grid Solutions LLC designed for infrastructure management. These solutions enable comprehensive infrastructure management, ranging from GIS-based asset data (ArcFM) and outage management (Responder) to fiber network tracking (Wavepoint).
This ordinance also requests approval to enter into the above-mentioned contract in accordance with the sole source procurement provisions of Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Codes, as it has been determined that Schneider Electric Smart Grid Solutions LLC is the sole domestic provider of maintenance and support for theArcFM, Responder, and Wavepoint software.
Finally, this ordinance authorizes the expenditure of $52,800.85 for the above-described services for the period of one year, from August 6, 2026, to August 5, 2027.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $52,800.85 is budgeted and available in the Department of Technology, Information Services Operating Fund, Fund 5100.
