WHEREAS, Andrea Blevins has dedicated over 40 years to public service in the Columbus City Council Clerk’s Office, including more than two decades as Clerk, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the people of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure, Clerk Blevins has exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and dedication, playing a critical role in upholding the transparency and accountability of City Council operations; and
WHEREAS, Andrea Blevins’ extensive institutional knowledge, meticulous attention to legislative detail, and steady leadership have been vital to the success and continuity of Council proceedings; and
WHEREAS, Clerk Blevins has been a steady and guiding presence at City Hall, helping to lead and support a generation of public servants committed to good governance; and
WHEREAS, beyond her official duties, Andrea Blevins has been a mentor and trusted advisor to colleagues, cultivating a culture of excellence and service within the Clerk’s Office and becoming a cornerstone of City Hall; and
WHEREAS, as Andrea Blevins embarks on a well-earned retirement, the Columbus City Council extends its heartfelt appreciation for her remarkable service and congratulates her on a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby honors and recognizes Columbus City Council Clerk Andrea Blevins for her lifelong dedication to public service and celebrates her retirement.
