Explanation

BACKGROUND: This contract provides for the Scioto and Darby Creek 30" Water Main. Competitive bids were received and opened for this project at the office of the Director of Public Utilities on October 11, 2006. Ten (10) bids were received on this project. The most responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Fields Excavating, Inc., 177 Twp Road 191, Kitts Hill, Ohio, 45645. Contract to be awarded to same.
This ordinance also authorizes the expenditure of $116,949.44 for inspection service by the Transportation Division
