Explanation

Bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on November 23, 2010 for the Westgate Well Drilling Project as follows:

Downing Construction MAJ $47,447.00


Project work consists of well installation with electric to service pond and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the plans and specifications. Project improvements will help save money on water usage for filling the pond.

Recreation and Parks Voted Bond Fund, $38,500.00

WHEREAS, bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on November 23, 2010 for the Westgate Well Drilling Project; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into contract with Beinhower Bros. Drilling Co. for the Westgate Well Drilling Project for the well installation and other such work as may be necessary; NOW, THEREFORE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

SECTION 1. That the Director of Recreation and Parks be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with Beinhower Bros. Drilling Co. for the Westgate Well Drilling Project for the well installation and other such work as may be necessary.

SECTION 2. That the expenditure of $38,500.00, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and is hereby authorized from the Voted Recreation and Parks Bond Fund, to pay the cost thereof, as follows:
