WHEREAS, founded in 1975, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is the unified voice of America’s more than 10 million women-owned businesses representing the fastest growing segment of the economy; and

WHEREAS, on Thursday, May 02, 2024, Sheri Chaney Jones will be honored as the 2024 Visionary Award Honoree, this coveted award is a prestigious way to recognize and showcase the amazing women who not only own and operate businesses that are vital to Ohio’s economy but also find time and resources to identify needs and drive social change; and

WHEREAS, Sheri Chaney Jones is a social entrepreneur, who has helped government, non-profit organizations and social enterprises gather and use data to change actions, outcomes and lives for more than 16 years; and

WHEREAS, as founder of Measurement Resources Company, and co-founder and CEO of SureImpact, and an award winning author and internationally recognized expert, she regularly keynotes conferences and events, where she speaks about high-performance measurement cultures, data-driven strategy and decision-making, and using data to attract more funding; and

WHEREAS, as VP of Public Policy, Sheri was instrumental in leading this effort on behalf of NAWBO Columbus, which has resulted in the creation of a Women’s Enterprise Certification (WBE); and

WHEREAS, Sheri serves on the City of Columbus’ Women’s Commission which has helped to advance the economic well-being of women in our community. By dismantling barriers and reducing gender-based inequities to improve the economic position of women, the commission brings together policy experts, stakeholders, residents and neighbors, and business and non-profit communities to analyze issues impacting women and to make policy recommendations; now, therefore
