To congratulate and thank Fred Holdridge and Howard Burns for their significant contributions and unwavering dedication to making ours a welcoming community for all citizens of central Ohio.

WHEREAS, Fred Holdridge and the late Howard Burns have made many contributions to Columbus, including their commitment to making German Village one of the premier center-city revitalized neighborhoods in the entire country; and
WHEREAS, They supported arts organizations and activities consistently and passionately, and were major players in the renaissance of CATCO, helping transform the theatre company into one of the region's finest; and
WHEREAS, Throughout their professional careers, Fred and Howard have given unselfishly of their time, energy and enthusiasm to nurturing this now thriving GLBT community and to giving wise counsel and personal support to countless individuals; and
WHEREAS, The legacy of Fred and Howard is significant and beyond measure and Columbus is a better city because of them;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, That this Council does hereby join The Legacy Fund of Columbus in congratulating Fred Holdridge and Howard Burns for their significant contributions and unwavering dedication to making ours a welcoming community for all citizens of central Ohio.
