Title: To authorize the Public Service Director to execute those documents required to grant the City of Bexley permission to install and maintain landscaping within the City of Columbus right-of-way on the south side of Main Street from Alum Creek Drive east to the west bank of Alum Creek; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation

The Public Service Department previously established policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of landscaping materials within City rights-of-way by interested civic associations and business groups. Recently the City of Bexley ("Bexley") submitted a request to the Public Service Department, Transportation Division, asking that the City of Columbus ("Columbus") grant them permission to install and maintain landscaping within the right-of-way on the south side of Main Street from Alum Creek Drive east to the west bank of Alum Creek. The Transportation Division has no objections to this request. The following legislation authorizes the Public Service Director to execute those documents prepared and approved by the City Attorney's Office that will allow Bexley to install and maintain landscaping within this area.

Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested so the necessary documents can be executed and Bexley can begin installation of the landscaping this fall.
