To Recognize Thelma Mae Scott in Celebration of her 100th Birthday

 

Body

WHEREAS, Thelma Mae Scott was born on November 8, 1923; and

 

WHEREAS, Thelma always gives from herself unto others, dedicating her career to public service and serving in the public school system for 27 years; and

 

WHEREAS, Thelma is a beloved community member, actively involved in her church, neighborhood, and family, and has instilled her values and work ethic into all who have had the privilege of knowing her; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is proud to recognize significant milestone birthdays and is joined by Thelma’s three daughters, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and countless other friends, family members, and loved ones in celebrating all that Thelma has accomplished in the last 100 years; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus recognizes that Thelma is turning “100 years young” and wishes her many more years of joy, health, and time spent with the people and things she loves; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council recognizes Thelma Mae Scott in celebration of her 100th birthday.
