To Recognize and Celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of Kingdom Image Arts

 

Body

WHEREAS, Kingdom Image Arts is a local non-profit organization that is committed to empowering all generations through inspirational arts, performances, education, and influential programming that seeks to contribute to personal wellness, economic impact, and social change; and

 

WHEREAS, Kingdom Image Arts is proud to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, having been a resource to the community by connecting residents to the arts and helping them identify how the arts impact our daily lives; and

 

WHEREAS, Kingdom Image Arts has impacted thousands of people in the community, and through their programs have sought to use the arts to close gaps dividing communities; and

 

WHEREAS, through programs like the Artistic Development Entrepreneur Incubator, Kingdom Image Arts has been able to mentor BIPOC artists, entertainment industry professionals, and art entrepreneurs through the stages of a successful and sustainable career; and

 

WHEREAS, Kingdom Image Arts uplifts diversity in the community by spotlighting diverse representation at the Kingdom Image awards, engaging underrepresented and undeserved audiences in meaningful conversation about the arts in their Common Ground initiative, and helping minority youth through mentorship, academic support, and emotional guidance in their Kingdom Kidz/ Beat the Streets program; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby recognizes Kingdom Image Arts for their 10th Anniversary of helping uplift the arts in our Columbus community while also empowering residents through their various programs.
