Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes The Director of Public Service to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a bridge rehabilitation project on the bridge from I-670 westbound exit ramp to 4th Street.

This project will Install abutment shoring, patch parapets and deck floor, and replace the top row of concrete slope protection slab. The project is scheduled to begin in spring of 2012 and be completed in fall of 2012. (FRA-670-3.87 PID 87321)

2. FISCAL IMPACT
The estimated total cost of this project is $400,000.00 which will be funded by ODOT. There is no cost to the City for this project.

The following ordinance enacted by the City of Columbus, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the Legislative Authority or Local Public Agency or "LPA", in the matter of the stated described project.

WHEREAS, the State has identified the need for the described project:
Install abutment shoring, patch parapets and deck floor, and replace the top row of concrete slope protection slab for the bridge on the ramp from I-670 westbound to 4th Street; now, therefore

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

SECTION 1. Consent Statement
Being in the public interest, the LPA gives consent to the Director of Transportation to complete the above described project.

SECTION 2. Cooperation Statement
The LPA shall cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the above described project as follows:
