Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the continuation of contract EL003205 with ACS State and Local Solutions to provide parking violation processing services for the City of Columbus. This will be the third renewal option of four under the current contract, it is for a twelve month period . The Contract compliance number for ACS is 131996647.

In accordance with the 2006 budget appropriation $609,200.00, was budgeted for this modification of the contract. This is an estimate based upon the previous years contract performance.

Body
WHEREAS: a need exists in the daily operation of the Parking Violations Bureau in that it is necessary to modify and increase the existing contract with ACS State and Local Solutions, for parking violation processing services to be paid thru February, 28, 2007.

WHEREAS: the current contract needs to be modified and increased by $609,200.00 under the same provisions and terms as completed.

WHEREAS: a need exists in the daily operation of the Parking Violations Bureau in that it is necessary to modify and increase existing contract No. EL003205 for the preservation of the public health, safety, property and welfare; now therefore;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS.

Section 1. That the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to modify Contract EL003205 with ACS State and Local Solutions, by extending the expiration date to February 28, 2007, and by increasing the contract by $609,200.00.

Section 2. That the increase of $609,200.00 is authorized to be expended from the General Fund, Subfund 010, City Treasurer, Department No. 23-03, OCA Code 230301, Object Level One 03, Object Level three, 3336 to pay the cost thereof.
