Explanation
BACKGROUND: This ordinance is to establish a contract to purchase of a Slope Mower for the Division of Water with Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation, Inc. dba Century Equipment. The Slope Mower will be used by the Watershed Section to maintain the John R. Doutt Upground Reservoir and other grass areas inside the watershed protection area. This purchase was approved by the Division of Fleet Management and will replace BT23783.
The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of City Code Chapter 329 (RFQ030201). Thirty-seven (37) bidders were solicited and one (1) bid was received, which was opened on June 12, 2025.
The Division of Water recommends an award be made to Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation, Inc. dba Century Equipment in the amount of $72,315.27.
This company is not debarred according to the Excluded Parties listing of the Federal Government and is not listed in the Auditor of State database for Findings for Recovery.
