Title
To acknowledge and recognize the CDance Company for the Arts and the Columbus Kappa Foundation in partnership with LaVerne Reed Productions of New York as they present the Adventures of Pan
Body
WHEREAS, The Adventures of Pan, a new hip hop musical, "Where magic is just a moment away" is an urban version of the classical story of Peter Pan; and,
WHEREAS, This spectacular musical stage production will be presented by CDance Company for the Arts and the Columbus Kappa Foundation in partnership with LaVern Reed Productions of New York during the Black History Month in Columbus, OH ; and,
WHEREAS, PAN is an adventurous musical stage production that affords youth in the Central Ohio area with an opportunity to participate in a professional musical stage production complete with flying characters, spectacular sets and original costumes, and,
WHEREAS, The Adventures of Pan features over 200 local youth showcasing their talents in music, skateboarding, roller skating, gymnastics and other skills; and,
WHEREAS, The Adventures of Pan is a family affair that serves as a forum for local youth to experience performing on stage with national a and international renowned artists; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby acknowledge and recognize The Adventures of Pan during the celebration of Black History Month, this 24th day of February, 2007.
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED: that a copy of this resolution is presented as a token of our esteem.
