Explanation
Background: The following is an ordinance to authorize the City Attorney to acquire fee simple title and lesser interests, contract for professional services, and to expend the monies for payment of acquisition costs in connection with the Harrisburg Pike Electric Utility Easement Relocation Project.
FISCAL IMPACT: The Division is requesting an amendment to the 2007 Capital Improvements Budget for purposes of establishing sufficient budget authority for this expenditure. In addition, this legislation includes a transfer of funds within the Voted 1995 and 1999 Street Lighting and Electricity Distribution Improvements Fund. The Department of Public Utilities, Power and Water, has determined funding for this project will be from the Voted 1995 and 1999 Street Lighting and Electricity Distribution Improvements Fund.
Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested to allow acquisition of those easements along US62 (Harrisburg Pike) necessary to relocate the Division's overhead electric lines required by ODOT's widening project to begin as soon as possible to meet ODOT's schedule.
