Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the Director of Public Utilities to execute an Emergency Water Service Agreement with the City of Pickerington, 100 Lockville Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Director of Public Utilities to be in the best interest of all parties concerned to enter into an Emergency Water Service Agreement with the City of Pickerington to provide water service for usage in the event of an emergency failure of their potable water supply; and
WHEREAS, in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities, it is necessary to authorize the Director of Public Utilities to enter into an Emergency Water Service Agreement with the City of Pickerington for the preservation of public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Utilities is hereby authorized to enter into an Emergency Water Service Agreement with the City of Pickerington to provide water service for usage in the event of an emergency failure of their potable water supply.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
