To honor Mr. Edmond W. Reese's 44 years of service and dedication to the City of Columbus and to celebrate with him as he enters retirement.

WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese served the City of  Columbus with distinction for 44 years as a Real Estate Specialist in the Columbus City Attorney offices under the administration of seven City Attorneys:
City Attorney Richard C. Pfeiffer, Jr
City Attorney Janet E. Jackson  
City Attorney Ronald O'Brien  
City Attorney Gregory C. Lashutka  
City Attorney John L. Francis  
City Attorney James J. Hughes Jr  
City Attorney John C. Young; and,
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese received his journalism degree from The Ohio State University in 1957; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese has been active member of the Valley of Columbus Scottish Rite Masons for over 50 years and has been recognized with several awards for his outstanding service; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese was an active member of the prestigious Columbus Toastmasters Club and twice served as president; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese nurtured and educated his son Lawrence E. Reese to be a National Honor Society graduate of Worthington Christian High School, a Marine Corps scholarship recipient and a Miami University business degree graduate. Mr. Lawrence's family consist of wife Cathleen and children Alexandria and William; and
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Edmond W. Reese has been married to his wife Toini Lintala since 1983 and has been active in his community; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
That we do hereby recognize and honor the outstanding career of Mr. Edmond W. Reese to the city of  Columbus for 44 years and we congratulate him on his retirement.
