Explanation

BACKGROUND: This legislation will authorize the Director of the Department of Development to modify contract Number DL005174 with ALC Environmental Incorporated for lead based paint inspections, risk assessments, creating lead hazard control work specifications and final clearance testing on housing units for the City of Columbus, Department of Development. The modification will increase the contract amount by $35,000. The new contract amount will be $72,500.00.


FISCAL IMPACT: Funds for this expenditure are allocated from the 2003 Community Development Block Grant Fund budget.

To authorize the Director of the Department of Development to modify a contract with ALC Environmental Inc.; and to authorize the expenditure of $35,000 from the 2003 Community Development Block Grant fund ($35,000).


Body

Whereas, the Director of the Department of Development desires to modify contract Number DL005174 with ALC Environmental Inc.; and

Whereas, ALC Environmental Inc. provides lead based paint inspections, risk assessments, create lead hazard control work specifications and perform final clearance testing under this contract for the Department of Development; and

Whereas, this modification will allow the provision of additional lead based paint inspections, risk assessments, create lead hazard control work specifications and perform final clearance testing; and
NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:


Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Development is hereby authorized to modify contract Number DL005174 with ALC Environmental Inc. (23-2914445) for providing lead based paint inspections, risk assessments, creating lead hazard control work specifications and final clearance testing for the City of Columbus, Department of Development.
