Explanation
Background
This ordinance will authorize an appropiation in grant funds in connection with the Title IIIA-Administration Grant. Emergency action is requested so that there is no lapse in services.
Fiscal Impact
The fiscal impact of this ordinance will be to reduce the Recreation and Parks Grant Fund's unappropriated balance of $125,000.00. This appropriation will enable the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging to administer grant programs funded by the Ohio Department of Aging.

To authorize an appropriation in the amount of $125,000.00 from the unappropriated balance of the Recreation and Parks Grant Fund to the Recreation and Parks Department for the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, and to declare an emergency. ($125,000.00)
Body
Whereas, it is necessary to appropriate said grant funds so that the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department can provide services throughout FY2004 and;
Whereas, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to appropriate said funds so that there is no lapse in services; now, therefore.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That from the unappropriated monies in the Recreation and Parks Grant Fund and from all monies estimated to come into said fund from any and all sources and unappropriated for any other purpose during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2004, the sum of $125,000.00 is appropriated to the Recreation and Parks Department, Department No. 51, Fund No. 286, as follows:
