Title: To authorize the acceptance of a deed for a parcel of land to be held in the Lank Bank inventory (811 South 22nd Street).
Explanation
 
BACKGROUND:                 In order to have an effective Land Reutilization Program it is necessary from time to time to acquire other vacant and underutilized properties.  This property will be held in the City's Land Bank and managed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Land Reutilization Program.  This transfer of property will be done by virtue of deeds, which will be recorded in the Official Records of the County Recorder's Office. The acquisition of this single-family home will provide homeownership opportunities.
 
FISCAL IMPACT:              The maintenance of this parcel will be provided by the Environmental Blight Abatement Unit.

To authorize the acceptance of a deed for a parcel of land to be held in the Lank Bank inventory (811 South 22nd Street).
 
 
 
Body
 
WHEREAS, Bruce Browder, is the owner of the said real estate; and
 
WHEREAS, by virtue of said deed to the City of Columbus this deed will be recorded in the Franklin County, Ohio, Recorder's
Office; and
 
WHEREAS, the City desires to accept the deed for said property which will be held in the Land Bank Program and managed in
accordance with the Land Reutilization Program's policies and procedures; now, therefore,
 
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
 
Section 1. That the City of Columbus hereby accepts the property described herein as:
 
        Owner:  Bruce Browder
      
       Parcel:       010-002284
 
       Address: 811 South 22nd Street
 
Section 2.  That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
