Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes the Public Service Director to modify an existing agreement with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) to provide additional services to complete the Columbus Bicentennial Master Bikeways Plan associated with the Downtown Columbus Circulation Study. The traffic study has recommended a street network and bikeways to facilitate mobility, enhance pedestrian friendliness and contribute to the viability of the downtown community. These additional services will enhance bicycle travel in downtown and the connections to outlying areas by presenting a bikeway plan.

This work includes an additional stakeholder meeting to review the draft plan, create a master reproducible bikeway map and prepare public presentation materials. The total contract authorization amount will now be $785,000.00 after passage of this ordinance.
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is a not-for-profit governmental entity; their contract compliance number is 31-1009675.
