Explanation

Background: This legislation is to modify and increase the construction contract with The Righter Company, Incorporated (contract compliance #31-0889208, expires May 1, 2009) for the Marion Road Outpost Site Improvements project in an amount up to $7,946.93, for sewer lateral related work, and $7,732.03 for inspection. The project limits are Lockbourne Road on the west and contained within the Outpost property on the remaining sides. This plan details the construction of a pole barn and the connection of sanitary facilities at the site to a dedicated sanitary sewer. This contract is being modified to accommodate sewer lateral changes, and adjust for overruns and underruns. Prices were obtained by negotiations with The Righter Company, Incorporated using past project prices for new items.

Emergency action is requested for immediate modification of the construction contract so that the project may be completed in 2007.

Original contract amount: $ 114,302.65
Total of Modifications: $ 15,678.96
Contract amount including all modifications: $ 129,981.61

Fiscal Impact: Funds are available due to cancellations from the 1995, 1999, 2004 Voted Street and Highway Funds for the Transportation Division.
