Explanation
This ordinance amends the Management Compensation Plan by assigning pay grades to the classifications of Education Program Supervisor and Enterprise Architect. The ordinance further recognizes Civil Service Commission action by revising certain classifications and abolishing the classification of Operational Support Division Administrator.
Emergency action is proposed in order for placement efforts to begin.
Any hiring will be funded within the current appropriation.
Title
To amend the Management Compensation Plan, Ordinance No. 1150-2007, as amended, by enacting Section 5(E)-E026, the classification of Education Program Supervisor; and Section 5(E)-E193, Enterprise Architect; by amending Section 5(E)-A236, the classification of Assistant Director (Community and Neighborhood Development) (U); Section 5(E)-A231, the classification of Assistant Director (Jobs and Economic Development) (U); and Section 5(E)-H079, the classification of Human Resources Generalist; to repeal Section 5(E)-O034, the classification of Operational Support Division Administrator; and to declare an emergency.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to assign pay grades to newly created classifications; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to recognize further action of the Civil Service Commission by revising and abolishing certain classification titles; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the City in that it is immediately necessary to amend the Management Compensation Plan, thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety and welfare; Now, Therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1150-2007, as amended, is amended by enacting the following:
