Title: To authorize the Board of Health to enter into a revenue contract with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for the provision of lab testing services in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00. ($30,000.00)
Explanation
BACKGROUND:       The Board of Health has collaborated with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office to offer Chlamydia and gonorrhea lab testing services.  It is necessary to enter into a revenue contract to provide the foundation for these lab testing services.  Under this revenue contract, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office will reimburse the Board of Health for the provision of Chlamydia and gonorrhea lab testing services, for the period of January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:      The Franklin County Sheriff's Office will reimburse the Board of Health for costs related to the services provided for the lab testing.  The revenue will be deposited into the Health Special Revenue Fund.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a revenue contract to offer quality lab testing services to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office; and,
WHEREAS, under this revenue contract, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office will reimburse the Board of Health for the provision of Chlamydia and gonorrhea lab testing services; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into this revenue contract to provide the foundation for these lab testing services; Now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1.      That the Board of Health is hereby authorized to enter into a revenue contract with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for the provision of lab testing services, for the period of January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012, in the amount of $30,000.00.
SECTION 2.      That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
