In order to assure delivery of the chemicals by early spring of 2012, emergency legislation is requested.

To authorize and direct the Finance and Management Director to enter into contract with Trupointe Corporation for herbicides, fertilizers and pesticides for the Golf Division of the Recreation and Parks Department; to authorize the expenditure of $37,279.34 from the Golf Operating Fund; and to declare an emergency. WHEREAS, bids were solicited by the Purchasing Office and opened on January 12, 2012, awards will be made for the purchase of golf course chemicals in accordance with the terms and conditions of #SA004209 on file in the Purchasing Office; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to enter into said purchase orders to ensure delivery of the products by early spring 2012; NOW, THEREFORE
