To honor and recognize Jeff Knoll for his service and leadership as Executive Director of the Parsons Avenue Merchants Association.

WHEREAS, on March 31, 2012, Jeff Knoll is retiring as Executive Director of the Parsons Avenue Merchants Association after serving in this leadership position for fourteen years; and
WHEREAS, prior to being the Parsons Avenue Merchants Association Executive Director, Jeff Knoll was a Trustee and later the Coordinator for the organization; and
WHEREAS, for twenty years, Jeff Knoll has been a business owner in the Southside area of Columbus, being the proprietor of Graphic Touch, a printing company; and
WHEREAS, under Jeff Knoll's leadership, the Autorama became an annual event hosted by Parsons Avenue. Other programs in the Southside that flourished under his leadership were annual service and leadership awards programs for businesses and residents as well as a Scholarship Awards Event for graduating seniors of Southside high schools; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Knoll was one of the driving forces for requesting and advocating for an economic development plan for the Parsons Avenue Corridor and eventually served on its steering committee; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Knoll served on the steering committee of the proposed Columbus South Side Area Commission (CSSAC), and he eventually became one of its first commissioners. He currently serves as Chair of its Public Services Committee; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Knoll has been instrumental with his leadership and support of the concept of Plant Pride on Parsons Avenue, serving as the fiscal agent of its fundraising efforts, contributing to the endeavor of more than 100 beautiful and painted flowerpots gracing Parsons Avenue from Livingston Avenue to Route 104; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby honor and recognize Jeff Knoll for his service and leadership as Executive Director of the Parsons Avenue Merchants Association.
