Background:
Bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on May 31, 2012 for the Westgate Patio Improvements Project as follows:

Emergency Justification:
An emergency exists in the usual daily operations of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to enter into said contract so that work may proceed as quickly as possible so that the work can be completed this construction season.

Recreation and Parks Voted Bond Fund #702 - $167,200.00

To authorize and direct the Director of Recreation and Parks to enter into contract with Builderscape, Inc. for the Westgate Patio Improvements Project; to authorize the expenditure of $152,003.00 and a contingency of $15,197.00 for a total of $167,200.00 from the Voted Recreation and Parks Bond Fund; and to declare an emergency.
