Explanation

BACKGROUND:
This resolution supports the ratification of the amended Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission Articles of Agreement. The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) desires to make efficient and effective use of its resources while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to it. The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s Articles of Agreement and Bylaws Review Committee (the Committee) conducted a review of MORPC’s Articles of Agreement and Bylaws to determine whether any existing provisions should be updated or revised to provide more clarity, consistency, flexibility and simplicity. The Committee presented proposed amendments to MORPC’s Articles of Agreement and Bylaws and on September 19, 2013, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission adopted the proposed amendments to MORPC’s Articles of Agreement and Bylaws. The MORPC governance body (the Commission) is comprised of representatives appointed by MORPC members.
The Commission recommends ratification of the amended Articles of Agreement Articles of Agreement and Bylaws per MORPC Resolution 21-13.S
FISCAL IMPACT:

There are no costs to the City of Columbus associated with this resolution.
