The Department of Human Resources has been hosting the City's Black History Month Celebration for several years. The 2014 Celebration is scheduled for February 1, 2014 at the Lincoln Theater. This years' program will include Marian Wright Edelman of the Children's Defense Fund. Mrs. Edelman has been an advocate for disadvantaged Americans for her entire professional life.
