Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to enter into a grant agreement with Community Research Partners to provide Technical Assistance for a twelve-month period for a total amount of $133,784.00.
This legislation represents a program funded following the Emergency Human Services (EHS) application process as well as the Department of Developmentās application and evaluation process for General Fund assistance. The legislation targets a service agency that will provide technical assistance and data sharing, including but not limited to, studies and reports such as the social impact of casinos and the Human Services Funding Research by assisting with the operating needs of the agency. In addition, the City supports programs and activities so that the greater population is assured access to other community assistance. This funding will allow the process to continue much needed services.
Emergency action is necessary to avoid causing interruptions in the delivery of program services.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this expenditure is allocated from the Emergency Human Services Fund ($45,553) and the General Fund ($88,231).
