WHEREAS, since its founding in 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has devoted countless hours of voluntary service to educating the public, assisting youth, providing scholarships, supporting organized charities, and promoting legislation for social and civic change; and
WHEREAS, Zeta Phi Beta has chartered hundreds of chapters and initiated thousands of women around the world; and
WHEREAS, Zeta Phi Beta continues to thrive and flourish while adapting to the ever-changing needs of a new century; and
WHEREAS, Zeta Phi Beta's Gamma Zeta Zeta Chapter of Columbus was founded in the late 1940s as a graduate chapter with a diverse membership of professional women committed to serving the Columbus metropolitan community; and
WHEREAS, Gamma Zeta Zeta Chapter and its members take very seriously their obligation to mentor, encourage, and support the young women of our community, preparing them for a future of service and leadership; and
WHEREAS, the 2014 From Girls to Pearls Culminating Ball will honor the achievements of this year's class of Princesses, all of whom are distinguished young women who are certain to contribute to their community in countless ways in the coming years; now, therefore
