Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Service to accept the SR 161 Corridor Study PID 97169 grant and to execute a grant agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation. This ordinance also authorizes the Director of Public Service to enter into contract with DLZ Ohio, Inc. in the amount of up to $250,000.00 for the Intersection Improvements - SR 161 Corridor Study project.
This project, also known as FRA-161-11.48 (PID Number 97169), encompasses the Northland area, Community Planning Area (CPA) 06. The scope of services for this project includes completing portions of the Planning and Preliminary Engineering Phases of the Project Development Process (PDP) to develop alternatives for improvements to all intersections, including service road intersections, along Dublin-Granville Road (SR 161) from just east of the I-71 Northbound ramps to and including Cleveland Avenue and resulting in a Feasibility Study. This project is partially funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services, issued a Request for Proposals for the Intersection Improvements - SR 161 Corridor Study contract. The project was formally advertised on the Vendor Services web site from April 24, 2014, to May 15, 2014. The city received eight (8) responses. All proposals were deemed responsive and were fully evaluated when the Evaluation Committee met on May 23, 2014.
