To honor and recognize the North Broadway Children's Center on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.
Body
WHEREAS, the North Broadway Children's Center has provided superior child care to Columbus families since its founding sixty years ago; and
WHEREAS, since its beginning as an outreach ministry of North Broadway United Methodist Church in 1954, NBCC has grown from a one-classroom, part-time preschool to a center that provides a wide range of full- and part-time programs for infants, toddlers, and school-age children; and
WHEREAS, the center is a place of wonder and discovery for children, whether they are Honeybees, Koalas, Penguins, Rainbows, Lollipops, Butterflies, or Stars; and
WHEREAS, NBCC continually evaluates its programs to provide children and families with the highest quality of care and education; and
WHEREAS, the North Broadway Children's Center has improved the lives of countless children and families in our community, and our entire city has benefitted from the hard work and exemplary service of the many dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters who carry out the center's noble mission; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby honor and recognize the North Broadway Children's Center on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.
