Explanation
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Recreation and Parks Department to modify the contract with Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. for additional services in designing the storage building at North Bank Park. The building location is in the floodplain and required City submittals were an additional unexpected cost.
Fiscal Impact:
In 2013, the expenditure of $59,950.00 was legislated for the North Bank Storage Addition and Genoa Park Restrooms Design Project by Ordinance 2952-2013. This ordinance will provide funding that will modify the previously authorized amount by $20,000.00. $20,000.00 is budgeted and available in the Recreation and Parks Voted Bond Fund 702 to meet the financial obligations of this contract modification. The aggregate total contract amount, including this modification, is $79,950.00.
Emergency Justification:
An emergency exists in the usual daily operations of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to modify said contract so that the project can stay on schedule.
