Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to execute any documents approved as necessary to enter into a lease agreement by and between the City of Columbus and Nationwide Children’s Hospital for the use of five parking spaces at the property located at 635 Livingston Avenue on the Hospital campus. The spaces will be used by the Land Redevelopment Office. The lease agreement will be for an initial term of one year and will automatically renew yearly until cancelled.
FISCAL IMPACT: The City will pay a nominal consideration of $1.00 for use of the spaces.

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Development desires to enter into a lease agreement with Nationwide Children’s Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the lease will allow the Land Redevelopment Office use of 5 spaces at their property located at 635 Livingston Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement will be for an initial term of one year and will automatically renew yearly until cancelled; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Development to authorize the Director to enter into said lease; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
SECTION 1. That the Director of the Department of Development is hereby authorized to execute any documents approved as necessary to enter into a lease agreement by and between the City of Columbus, Ohio and Nationwide Children’s Hospital for the use of parking spaces at the property located at 635 Livingston Avenue.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose as stated in Section 1, the expenditure of $1.00 or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby authorized in Fund 220...
