Explanation

This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to enter into a contract with Green & Sons, LTD for the purchase of one (1) Compact Tractor for the Department of Recreation and Parks - Forestry Section.

Background: The Forestry Section is responsible for the maintenance of all trees in the City of Columbus. The compact tractor will assist in cleanup of debris of tree trimming and removal. This equipment will be a positive impact by decreasing the length of time spent in the process.

The Purchasing Office advertised formal bid SA006110 with the bid opening date being December 3, 2015. Five (5) bids were received as follows:
