To Congratulate Bishop Fred L. Marshall and First Lady Evangelist Mollie Marshall on 40 years of Pastoral Service.

WHEREAS, Bishop Fred L. Marshall and First Lady Evangelist Mollie Marshall became the organizers of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church in 1976; and
WHEREAS, prior to his leadership at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, Bishop Fred L. Marshall worked at the State of Ohio Department of Corrections, Ohio Youth Commission, aiding in the rehabilitation of area youth; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Fred L. Marshall serves as the as the presiding Bishop of Free Gospel Churches of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ headquarters in Lawton, Oklahoma and the Good N.E.W.S. Holy Convocation; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Marshall has a longstanding dedication to social service, tirelessly serving his community and faith as President of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance the Youth Advocate Services Board of Directors and the Franklin County Criminal Justice Board; and
WHEREAS, Bishop and First Lady Evangelist Marshall have ministered to the spiritual needs of the Columbus Community and dedicated their lives to serving the Lord and their church community; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Marshall and First Lady Evangelist Marshall spent the week of May 15th through May 22nd with the theme of “Affectionately Imparting a Legacy of Faithfulness Unto God and His People” celebrating this great accomplishment alongside friends, family, and their congregation; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby congratulate Bishop Fred L. Marshall and First Lady Evangelist Mollie Marshall on 40 years of pastoral service.
