To honor, recognize and celebrate the life of Robert “Bob” W. Crosby Jr. and to extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby was born on June 28, 1937 in Seymour, Indiana to Marion Kelow and Reverend Robert W. Crosby; and

 

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1962; and

 

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby was a dedicated volunteer for the Democratic Party and served on the Franklin County Central Committee for over 40 years; and

 

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby had a longstanding dedication to social service, tirelessly serving the State of Ohio, Franklin County and the City of Columbus in a number of roles; and

 

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby is survived by numerous loving family members and friends, including his wife, Shirley Wells Crosby, their three sons, his brother, John and his wife Susan, and more whose lives he touched; and

 

WHEREAS, the life of Bob Crosby will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2016 with family and friends at Overbrook Presbyterian Church; and

 

WHEREAS, Bob Crosby’s generous nature and warm personality will live on in everyone’s hearts. He was truly a gift to the City and he will forever be missed; therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby honor, recognize and celebrate the life of Robert “Bob” W. Crosby Jr. and extends our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
