Title: To authorize the Board of Health to enter into a revenue contract with the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association for the provision of Healthy Children, Healthy Weight training in an amount not to exceed $7,168.44, for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017; and to declare an emergency. ($7,168.44)
BACKGROUND: Columbus Public Health proposes to provide updated curriculum and training on the Healthy Children, Healthy Weights (HCHW) Child Care Train-the-Trainer to the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA). It is necessary to enter into a revenue contract to provide the HCHW training. Under this revenue contract, OCCRRA will reimburse the Board of Health for the provision of HCHW training, in an amount not to exceed $7,168.44, for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

Emergency action is requested to avoid any delays in providing the training services and to allow the financial transaction to be posted in the City's accounting system as soon as possible. Up to date financial posting promotes accurate accounting and financial management.

FISCAL IMPACT: The Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association will reimburse the Board of Health for the services provided. The revenue from the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association will be deposited into the Health Special Revenue Fund.

WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into a revenue contract to allow for reimbursement of HCHW training provided to the Ohio Child and Resource and Referral Association; and,

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Health Department in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the Board to enter into contract with the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association to avoid any delays in providing training services and to allow the financial transaction to be posted in the City's accounting system as soon as possible, all for the immediate preservation of th...
