Background

This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify and extend a contract with U.S. Utility Contractor Co., in the amount of $500,000.00, for Power Distribution Installation and Restoration for the Division of Power. This work consists of providing labor and equipment for setting poles, installing conductor, removal of poles and conductors at various locations within the Columbus Electric System on an as needed basis and other such work as may be necessary.

CONTRACT AWARD: The Director of Public Utilities publicly opened one bid on May 25, 2016 from U.S. Utility Contractor Co., in the amount of $500,000.00 for the first year of the contract.

U.S. Utility Contractor Co.'s bid was deemed the lowest, most responsive and responsible bid. Their Contract Compliance Number is 34-1606689 (expires 5/31/18, F1). This contract contains a multi-year renewal option.
