To Recognize and Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Church for All People and its Contribution to the City of Columbus

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Church for All People and the Community Development for All People are two conjoined, non-profit organizations dedicated to serving the people of the South Side of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, the Church for All People was formed in 2003, and the Community Development for All People was formed shortly after the same year and both organizations were moved to their current location on Parsons Avenue in 2007; and

WHEREAS, the Church for All People is intentionally cross-class and multi-racial to build bridges between groups and allow residents to learn from different people’s circumstances, creating a sense of harmony in the community; and

WHEREAS, the Community Development for All People supports numerous programs that transform the lives of children and families by providing clothing through the Free Store, affordable housing opportunities, education on healthy eating, youth development programs, culturally diverse music opportunities, religious training initiatives, and several other benefits that enrich the lives of South Side Columbus residents; and

WHEREAS, by providing for the well-being of families and individuals, the Church and Community Development for All People contributes to the development of Parsons Avenue and the South Side community by making the area more friendly, attractive, economically stable and vital to the City of Columbus; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS

That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Church for All People on July 30th, 2017.
