To honor and recognize the Center for Healthy Families on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary and to thank Donna and Larry James for their ongoing commitment to moving teen parents forward.
Body
WHEREAS, the Center for Healthy Families was incorporated on January 30th 2007 in Columbus, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Healthy Families engages parenting teens and their children in activities that help them to become self-sufficient - improving their health and well-being, exposing them to positive networks, and assisting them with obtaining education and employment through a coordinated community service network; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Healthy Families provides services that address the holistic needs of pregnant and parenting teens in Columbus and Franklin County - in fact the Center provides one on one health care for up to twenty four months; and
WHEREAS, the Center’s services are community and school based and cover the essential needs of teen parents - services which range from assisting clients with transportation to school, identifying childcare facilities, childcare providers, and more; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Healthy Families has continued to exert a positive influence in our community - by helping teens graduate from high school, helping to delay subsequent pregnancies, assisting teens with establishing healthy relationships, and creating stable environments; and
WHEREAS, The Center for Healthy Families will commemorate its 10 Year Anniversary with a Celebration recognizing the work, commitment, and dedication of Larry & Donna James -with an event to be held at Smith & Wollenskly, Easton Town Center, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 6:00pm with a special performance from The Harmony Project; now therefore,
