To recognize the leadership of Columbus young professional Dan Sharpe as the recipient of the Create Columbus Commission Visionary Award.
Body
WHEREAS, Mr. Dan Sharpe graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelor of arts in politics and government & from Ohio University with a Master’s in Public Administration; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sharpe participated in Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Young American Leaders Program and is a graduate of Leadership Columbus; and
WHEREAS, he has devoted a large part of his career to non-profit grant management and has been instrumental in the Columbus Foundation’s annual Big Give; and
WHEREAS, through the Create Columbus Commission he has contributed to the booming community of young professionals in Columbus; and
WHEREAS, Dan Sharpe has advanced the commission’s initiatives through his success and meaningful work especially in crucial fundraising to improve Columbus ; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize the distinguished Dan Sharpe for his dedication to and for the Columbus community.
