Title: To authorize the Director of the Department of Development to modify the crisis response agreement with the Community Shelter Board by extending the Agreement termination date to June 30, 2018; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to modify Agreement PO-057442 with The Community Shelter Board by extending the Agreement termination date from December 31, 2017 to June 30, 2018. This Agreement supports for the purpose of assisting homeless men and women to transition more efficiently and effectively from a place of homelessness to permanent housing and stability. Due to delayed startup of the program there is a balance of funds for carryover into 2018. This time extension is required in order for funds allocated to the programming for pregnant women experiencing homelessness to be fully utilized. This legislation would modify the Agreement authorized by Ordinance 0659-2017, passed on April 3, 2017.

Emergency action is requested so program activities can be completed without further delay.

FISCAL IMPACT: No additional funds are needed for this modification.
