Explanation

BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget reservations resulting from this ordinance with the following Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements listed below for Water/Sewer Infrastructure Parts & Equipment for the Division of Water.

UNIVERSAL TERM CONTRACT PURCHASE AGREEMENTS:
Fire Hydrants and Fire Hydrant Parts

The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.

FISCAL IMPACT: $250,000.00 is budgeted and needed for this purchase. This ordinance is contingent on the passage of the 2018 operating budget, Ordinance 3009-2017.

$583,142.89 was spent in 2017
$562,031.73 was spent in 2016

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office has pending and established Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for Water/Sewer Infrastructure Parts & Equipment; and

WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Utilities to authorize the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for Water/Sewer Infrastructure Parts & Equipment; thereby preserving the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now, therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
