WHEREAS, The Gandhi Memorial Society has been established to spread the message of truth, nonviolence and love given to the world by Mahatma Gandhi, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Nelson Mandela; and
WHEREAS, the goal of all activities of the Gandhi Memorial Society is to raise the awareness of the importance of the importance of the principles of truth, nonviolence and love in all our day to day social life for promoting higher values of life; and
WHEREAS , the Gandhi Memorial Society is holding an event to exhibit books posters related to the lives of Mahatma Gandhi, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Nelson Mandela on March 29, 2018 at the downtown Columbus Public Library, 96 South Grant Avenue, Columbus, Ohio to spread the message of Gandhi, King and Mandela; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this council hereby congratulates the Gandhi Memorial Society and wish them all the best with the Exhibition on March 29, 2018 of the books and posters related to the lives of Gandhi, King and Mandela.
