To Recognize Robert Patterson and His Work as a Neighborhood Champion and Honor Him as a Recipient of the 2018 Jefferson Award.

WHEREAS, Robert Patterson has tirelessly dedicated his efforts to improving his Marion-Franklin neighborhood for the past twenty years, and continues to commitment himself to the betterment of his community; and
WHEREAS, With the support the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Robert helps to provide fresh produce to his neighbors through an urban farm initiative; and
WHEREAS, additionally, Robert has focused on the education of teenagers and youth and his area, working to develop a teen program and remodel a local school into a Columbus Metropolitan Library and Education Center; and
WHEREAS, Robert Patterson’s nomination for the 2018 Jefferson Award can be attributed to his dedication to his neighbors and passionate pursuit of a better community for the residents of the Marion-Franklin neighborhood; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize Robert Patterson and his work as a neighborhood champion and honor him as a recipient of the 2018 Jefferson Award on April 3, 2018.
