To highlight, celebrate, and showcase the work, artistry, and photography of Mr. Emanuele Timothy Costa and to thank him for sharing his gift and talent with the residents of Columbus and the citizens of the State of Ohio

WHEREAS, Columbus Sister Cities International is a non-profit organization that works to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Columbus and Central Ohio through advocacy, engagement and cultural exchange; and

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is proud of its collaboration with the City of Genoa, Italy, Columbus’ first and oldest sister city partnership; and
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus, as a part of this cultural exchange, has agreed to partner with photographer Emanuele Timothy Costa's “Thousand People of Genoa” project which features a series of photographs of Genoan citizens moving around as part of their everyday lives; and
WHEREAS, this project was created out of a vision developed by Timothy who, at the time, was working as a young photographer desirous of creating something that would convey his love for his city through the artistic expression of photography - his vision established this experiential exhibition now denoted as "Thousand People" which represents the City of Genoa through the faces of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Columbus Sister Cities International with the support of the Greater Columbus Convention Center, the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, the Columbus Museum Of Art, the Franklin Park Conservatory and the Cultural Arts Center will feature and exhibit Timothy’s “Thousand People of Genoa” project illuminated on cubes and panels at sites across the City of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, this project has now been expanded to showcase the many faces of people from two different parts of the globe with residents from the City of Columbus with the “Thousand People of Columbus” project which will be showcased in 2019; and
