Explanation
BACKGROUND: To authorize the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a contract with Pelton Environmental Products for the purchase of a Swaby Lobeline Rotary Pump and Seals. The Pump will be used by the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant as a spare pump during a rebuild.
The Purchasing Office advertised and solicited competitive bids in accordance with the relevant provisions of City Code Chapter 329 relating to competitive bidding (RFQ008352). Forty-seven (47) bidders (1 F1, 2 MBR, 2 MBE, 42 MAJ) were solicited and one (MAJ) bid was received and opened on March 22, 2018. After a review of the bid, the Division of Sewerage and Drainage recommends an award be made for all items to Pelton Environmental Products in the amount of $77,114.00 as the only responsive and responsible and best bidder.
The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
