To Recognize the Week of April 23rd - 29th, 2018 as Columbus Young Professionals Week in the City of Columbus.

WHEREAS, the active involvement of young professionals is essential to the future competitiveness of the City of Columbus, its businesses and its citizens, and a positive and supportive environment for young professionals is necessary to encourage them to continue to work and live in the City of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, the second annual Columbus Young Professionals (YP) Week is a collaborative calendar celebrating all there is to do around the city for emerging leaders and young professionals; and
WHEREAS, more than 50 events will be hosted during Columbus YP Week, including leadership workshops, volunteer efforts, networking events, educational activities, and social gathering; and
WHEREAS, Columbus YP Week is supported by more than 45 participating companies and organizations, including the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Columbus Gives Back, Columbus Inspires, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus Urban League Young Professionals, Columbus Young Professionals Club, COTA, Create Columbus Commission, #cypclubcares, Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO), and United Way of Central Ohio; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize the week of April 23rd - 29th, 2018 as Columbus Young Professionals Week in the City of Columbus.
