Explanation
BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the Office of the Mayor to modify and extend three contracts, to provide additional funding and to change the current contracts ending date to January 3, 2020. Ordinance 1301-2019 accepts and appropriates additional private grant funds of $74,490.00 for the Healthy Beginnings at Home program. These contract modifications are needed for continued services for the Healthy Beginnings at Home program to meet the deliverables required by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency.

Ordinance 0861-2018 authorized the acceptance and appropriation of $990,970.00 over a two year period from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency for the administration of this program. Contracts were established with Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, Homeless Families Foundation and Nationwide Children’s Hospital pursuant to Ordinance 0891-2018 on April 26, 2018. The first modification to increase and extend these contracts was approved pursuant to Ordinance 3128-2018 on December 6, 2018 with a contract end term date of March 31, 2019.
